ICC World Cup 2011


The tenth ICC World Cup is to be held in February-March 2011. The tournament will be hosted by three Asian countries, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Fourteen national teams will be participated in the tournament. 10 Test playing countries and four ODI playing countries are the participants. Canada, Kenya, Ireland and Netherlands are ODI playing nations selected for the ICC World Cup 2011.

The first round of the tournament will be round-robin. The fourteen teams are divided into two groups of 7 teams each. The teams play each other in the group once. The top four team from each group qualifying for the next round.

The fixture and grounds are not prepared or finalized. But semi-finals will be held at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo and Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Final will be Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Group A
Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya

Group B
Bangladesh, England, India, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland, Netherlands
